855-RILawns is an aggressively growing, reputable company currently operating out of North Kingstown, RI. We provide mostly residential services to our clients throughout Rhode Island. We are searching for a full or part time mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on equipment and provide support to landscape crews.

Work Hours:

Flexible; Weekends or after 12pm Monday-Friday Part time or full time

Responsibilities and Duties:

Perform regular preventative maintenance on two and four stroke equipment such as trucks, lawn mowers, seeders, compactors, loaders, spreaders, chainsaws, trimmers, blowers. Perform necessary repairs to broken equipment as needed. Pick up/deliver special repairs to and from outside vendors when unable to perform repair in-house. Repairs to customer's property damaged by landscape crews. Assist with emergency on-site crew equipment repairs/swaps. Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop & common areas. Use of a tractor to load mulch for landscaping crews. Delivery of mulch to customers. Pick up, delivery, and maintenance/repair of customer's equipment. Attentive record keeping of all service and repairs. Track & utilize equipment warranties. Stock inventory, place orders, verify receipt of orders.

Qualifications and Skills:

Strong organizational skills. Willingness to learn & adapt. Extremely reliable. Attention to detail. So much so that they will include "I pay attention to detail" at the bottom of their resume. Effective time management, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Ability to problem solve without asking questions. Ability to follow directions. Must have own reliable transportation. Valid driver's license & clean driving record. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Clean background check. Live local to the area. Welding & diesel experience a plus.
