$17 Description We are looking for Mechanics to join our operations team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing all tasks associated with the bike and scooter maintenance program, including but not limited to cleaning and repairing the program's rideables. The ideal candidate would have previous bike and/or scooter repair experience, good mechanical and technical aptitude, and the ability to make in-the-moment decisions to meet and exceed team KPIs. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to: Inspect, diagnose, and repair rideables to ensure optimal performance and safety. Conduct routine checks on all rideable components and perform preventative maintenance. Document completed repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed on each rideable. Reference SOPs and best practices to ensure a safe and efficient workflow. Shift Transit is North America's leading operator of urban bicycle share programs. Requirements Some level of bicycle repair or mechanical experience. Experience with hand, air, and power tools preferred. Good mechanical and technical aptitude. The ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization. Comfortable working in a busy environment The ability to use technology provided by the company A willingness to work in all weather conditions outside, year-round The ability to perform assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Reliable access to transportation to and from work. The ability to lift 75 lbs. The ability to bend, stoop, and stand for long periods.
