Job Purpose :
The Rental Prep Tech will assist in day to day operations of the rental mechanics, preparing outgoing rental equipment. Quality assurance, maintenance and refurbishment work on air chain hoists, hand chain hoists, lever hoists, trolleys, beam clamps, Modulift spreader bars, hydraulic rams jacks pumps, air winches and rigging hardware.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
Conduct quality assurance on finished rental equipment before send out. Train incoming mechanics on proper rigging techniques on rental equipment and other best practices. Maintain and repair material handling machinery Maintain clean and safe work environment. Evaluate and make recommendations regarding repairs. Other functions as required
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent High attention to detail Must be at least 18 years of age Highly organized, ideally in a fast-paced warehouse environment Ability to operate a forklift or manlift equipment Ability to work with a high degree of precision and control Diagnostic skills and understanding of wear tolerances and retirement criteria Must be able to read and interpret parts manuals as well as profuction orders with mechanical instructions Strong mechanical reasoning & aptitudes.
These would include:
Pneumatic, hydraulic and electric powered machinery. Force dynamics and spatial relations.
