Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced and dependable Equipment Mechanic to join our logistics and warehouse team. The Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other company equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and experience working with diesel engines and heavy equipment. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, forklifts, and company equipment Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues Conduct inspections to ensure equipment meets DOT and safety standards Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems Maintain accurate service and repair records Respond to breakdowns and emergency repair needs as necessary Perform oil changes, brake repairs, tire replacements, and routine maintenance Ensure tools and work areas remain clean and organized Follow company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines Communicate repair needs and equipment status with management Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous mechanic experience required/preferred Experience with diesel engines, heavy equipment, or trucking equipment preferred Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair machinery safely Knowledge of DOT inspection requirements is a plus Ability to lift up to [50 lbs.] and work in varying weather conditions Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance 401K matching Paid time off opportunities for advancement stable and supportive work environment
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
