HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of heavy machinery and construction equipment used across marine and civil construction projects. This includes excavators, dozers, cranes, loaders, piling rigs, barges, and specialized marine equipment. The role ensures all plant assets are safe, operational, and maintained to manufacturer specifications, supporting construction teams on both land and water-based worksites. Primary Responsibilities Activities may include handling power tools, variety of mechanical tools, operating motorized equipment, installation and removal of mechanical components and parts varying in weight and dimension inside of engine compartments and various heights above the ground, with fall protection measures in place Environment is both shop and outside, thus the job often involves all weather extremes Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength The job of mechanic, as described, requires lifting up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis. Minimum Qualifications Mechanics must have their own tools. Mechanic must be willing to travel. Position requires a TWIC Card. Minimum of 5 years of experience. Preference given to candidates with at least 5 years' experience working on equipment at meets or exceeds performance expectations.What we can offer you:
