Paid Accident Insurance Crusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic Position Purpose The Crusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician performs in-field repairs on various brands of heavy equipment. This will include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, maintaining the care of company assets, and communicating professionally with others. They will perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible. Crusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic Essential Functions Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
Performs diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of manlifts, including articulating, vertical, and telescopic models.
Troubleshoots hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues
Conducts preventative maintenance tasks, such as inspections and adjustments, following manufacturer guidelines
Completes repairs efficiently and within established time limits
Ensures all equipment complies with safety and operational standards in accordance with OSHA, ANSI, and company policies
Maintains accurate and detailed documentation, including repair reports, parts orders, and service logs
Keeps service vehicle clean, organized, and fully stocked with tools and parts
Delivers exceptional customer service through clear communication and professional conduct at job sites
Participates in company and manufacturer training programs to stay current with new tools, technology, and repair methods
Travels to customer locations with occasional overnight stays
Consistent and reliable on-site attendance
Performs other job-related duties as assigned Crusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years of experience diagnosing and repairing manlifts or similar aerial equipment
Skilled in reading and interpreting hydraulic and electrical schematics
Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized repair equipment
Must provide and maintain a set of hand tools and any special tools required by the company
Valid driver's license; CDL may be required based on job responsibilities
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical card
Ability to work overtime, travel overnight, and work weekends as needed Crusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic Physical Requirements Push/Pull/Lift/Carry up to 100 pounds without assistance
Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors
Physical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours, with continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workday
Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional condition This is considered a Safety-Sensitive position.
