Generator Technician Assistant (Diesel Mechanic Career Opportunity) Turn Your Diesel Mechanic Experience Into a High-Demand Career JPEC Services LLC is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic who is ready to take the next step in their career. If you enjoy troubleshooting engines, electrical systems, and solving mechanical problems, you will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and commissioning of commercial and industrial generator systems. Generator technicians are in high demand across commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center, and government sectors. If you're motivated, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn, this is an excellent opportunity to build a stable, long-term career with room for advancement. Assistant Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial diesel generators.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and electrical controls.
- Troubleshoot generator controls, automatic transfer switches (ATS), batteries, and electrical components.
- Perform load bank testing and operational inspections.
- Complete service reports using provided paper or electronic forms.
- Travel to customer locations to perform scheduled maintenance and emergency service.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
- Deliver professional customer service while representing JPEC Services LLC. Qualifications
- Experience as a diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, fleet mechanic, agricultural equipment mechanic, or similar mechanical trade.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems; generator experience is required. -Ability to be organized in daily work and task driven. -Comprehension of planning ahead based on schedules.
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Employment Requirements Because JPEC Services LLC performs work for federal and state agencies, applicants must:
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Successfully pass a federal background investigation.
- Be eligible to access federal and state facilities and military installations.
- Be able to obtain and maintain any credentials or clearances required to perform work on government contracts.
