If you have experience in servicing heavy equipment and want to be a part of a company that values its relationships with customers and team members, Salado USA is hiring right now for a variety of positions. As a Heavy Equipment Shop Service Technician/Mechanic, you'll be working closely with Maintenance and Quarry management. You will be responsible for the timely and effective repairs on various brands of construction equipment. This will include diagnosing, parts ordering, technical report writing, maintaining care of company assets, and proper communication with others. You must be able to perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible. May require overtime.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform shop repairs and maintenance with little or no direct supervision
  • Diagnose and evaluate problems with equipment; make repairs using best practices and OEM specifications
  • Plans methods and sequence of performing assigned repairs.
  • Model safe work habits and always abide by all safety policies and procedures
  • Organize, clean, and maintain a safe work area
  • Contribute to departmental and product line goals
  • Complete required paperwork efficiently and timely
  • Maintain shop equipment in good working condition and keep it clean
  • Exhibit professional demeanor with managers and colleagues
  • Perform other assignments as requested by manager
JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Industrial/heavy equipment experience required; Mining experience strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years continuous experience in diagnosing and repairing construction equipment
  • Ability to read complex hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Lean experience a strong plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus, but not required
