Overview Join our dynamic team as a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic and play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of construction, industrial, and farm machinery. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all heavy equipment operates safely and efficiently in the field. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other construction machinery using electrical, automotive, and hydraulic schematics. Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, air brakes, HVAC systems, and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to meet OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently through electrical diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting techniques to minimize downtime. Service and repair farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, and construction machinery with attention to safety standards. Conduct tire services, wheel alignments, heavy lifting operations, and equipment assembly or disassembly tasks. Maintain detailed service records including inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and troubleshooting steps for future reference. Experience Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment maintenance in dealership or service shop environments. Strong knowledge of construction machinery servicing including excavators, cranes, bulldozers, and loaders. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, automotive repair techniques, welding, soldering, and fabrication. Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and hydraulics is highly desirable. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently during maintenance or troubleshooting procedures. Knowledge of OEM standards for equipment repair and maintenance practices across various brands such as Caterpillar or similar manufacturers. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
