Job Description
Description This position is responsible for performing inspections, diagnosis, and repair of heavy construction equipment under carriage in a shop environment or field. This position will work alone or part of Team. This position will involve removing and installing complete undercarriage which includes tracks, rollers frames, idlers, and sprockets segments. It will also require performing repairs on broken links assemblies which include the use of a cutting torch. Essential Functions Personally models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission Statement Must complete VBL, DiSC and Conflict Resolution Performs basic undercarriage repairs on all brand of equipment on the customer job site. Disassembles, cleans, inspects, repairs, and assembles undercarriage components. Evaluates, measures, and monitors undercarriage conditions. Works as a member of a team to provide services that satisfies customer needs and achieves departmental goals. Works overtime as required by workload and customers' needs. Prepares service reports and any other necessary paperwork. Maintains all company equipment, tools, and work areas in a good, clean, and working order. Performs and completes most tasks with no supervision. Act as a team member on large projects. Provides assistance, coaching, and mentoring to other Undercarriage Technicians. Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations. Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards. Requires regular and punctual employee attendance. Performs other duties as assigned. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. Knowledge with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems.-CAT
