Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanic/Service Technician I to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform essential maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your technical skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the reliable operation of our fleet and equipment. Your hands-on expertise will help keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. Pay will be discussed and determined based on qualification and experience.
MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS
Duties will include but not limited to: Checking in equipment brought in for repairs Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and technical manuals. Completing parts request Service equipment based on issues the equipment presented with when parts arrive Completing the required daily paperwork for equipment serviced, including testing the equipment to insure proper repair before release Completing the release paperwork, including contact with the customer to let them know it's complete and ready to pick up or have delivered Follow safety protocols during all repair activities, including heavy lifting and equipment handling. Other tasks as assigned by the Service Manager Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles, heavy equipment, generators, and other machinery. Utilize hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and welding techniques to complete repairs accurately. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and diagnostic reports for each job performed. Assist with customer service by explaining repair procedures and providing recommendations for vehicle or equipment maintenance. Hands-on experience with automotive repair, equipment repair is advantageous. Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, diesel engine repair, and mechanical troubleshooting is essential. Familiarity with heavy-duty equipment is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
