Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Generator Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting power generation systems and equipment. Your expertise will ensure the reliable operation of generators and related mechanical and electrical systems, supporting our commitment to delivering top-quality service and operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for technicians with a passion for heavy equipment, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical repair to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on generators and power generation systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and fuel system issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools. Troubleshoot equipment problems efficiently using electrical diagnostics, hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair techniques. Conduct engine repairs on diesel engines, small engines, and other mechanical systems integral to generator operation. Utilize schematics and technical documentation to identify faults and implement effective repair solutions. Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports documenting all maintenance activities and repairs performed. Assist with equipment troubleshooting during outages or emergency situations to restore power swiftly and safely. Skills Proven dealership experience or service technician background with a focus on heavy machinery or power systems. Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, electrical work, and mechanical systems repair. Skilled in reading schematics, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting complex equipment issues. Hands-on experience with power generation systems, generator repair, and vehicle maintenance is highly desirable. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, electrical testing devices, and equipment maintenance procedures. Mechanical knowledge related to engine repair, small engine maintenance, and heavy lifting techniques. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
