Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Mechanic, where you will be the driving force behind maintaining and repairing our fleet of golf course equipment and machinery. This role is vital in ensuring that all equipment operates smoothly, efficiently, and safely to deliver an exceptional experience for our golfers. You will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance on a variety of equipment including mowers, utility vehicles, and power tools. Your expertise will help keep the course running seamlessly, contributing to a top-tier golfing environment. Responsibilities Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on golf course equipment, including engines, electrical systems, hydraulic components, and mechanical parts. Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment remains in optimal condition and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and electrical diagnostics tools to identify faults accurately. Repair diesel engines, small engines, and power generation systems with precision and efficiency. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs. Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and maintenance schedules for all equipment. Assist with equipment troubleshooting during breakdowns or malfunctions to restore operations swiftly. Support heavy lifting tasks safely while handling large or cumbersome machinery components. Collaborate with team members to ensure safety standards are met during all repair activities. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair statuses clearly to course management and staff. Experience Proven dealership experience or service technician background in automotive or heavy equipment repair. Extensive mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and power generation units. Hands-on experience with schematics reading and electrical diagnostics is highly desirable. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering devices, and other maintenance tools. Experience in troubleshooting complex mechanical systems such as Caterpillar machinery or similar heavy-duty equipment. Demonstrated ability to perform small engine maintenance and general equipment repair efficiently. Prior work experience in a dealership or automotive service environment is preferred but not mandatory. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent manual handling capabilities for heavy lifting tasks. Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high safety standards.
