Job Description
Forklift Technician Duties & Responsibilities Sample responsibilities for this position include: Diagnose and repair equipment, to include liquid propane, gas, and diesel engines, electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, differentials, hydraulic systems, brake systems, steering systems, electrical systems, lifting systems Makes appropriate equipment repairs or modifications to solve operating and performance problems as dictated by the analysis of the customer's equipment Properly block, chock and chain equipment, and disassemble equipment as needed to facilitate major component removal and repair Performing facility maintenance tasks, routine preventive maintenance, and equipment testing as assigned Electrical systems - change out ballast, light switches and fuses Expertly analyzes and diagnoses customer equipment problems and breakdowns Inspects, diagnoses and isolates vehicle and equipment malfunctions Rebuild and/or repair all components and systems in industrial material handling and other related equipment Perform routine and operational maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run according to manufacturer's specifications Perform equipment inspections to identify potential problems and safety concerns Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $22.00 - $28.00
