Job Description

FLOW is seeking a reliable, hardworking Field Technician / Water System Installer to join our team. Based out of San Marcos, TX, we install high-quality rainwater harvesting systems across the state of Texas and occasionally beyond. This is a hands-on, highly physical role requiring a mix of plumbing, light construction, and mechanical problem-solving skills. System Installation:
Get certified with us and build bolted steel water tanks and sustainable water systems
Plumbing & Piping:
Lay out, cut, and install piping networks using PVC and PEX materials
Equipment Setup:
Install specialized water filtration units, pumps, and basic irrigation components
Ground & Concrete Work:
Trenching and backfilling for pipelines and work with concrete for tank pads and structural bases
Hauling & Transport:
Drive company trucks and safely haul trailers loaded with machinery, tools, and materials to job sites.
Service & Repair:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform repair/maintenance work on existing rainwater harvesting systems
Qualifications & Requirements Technical Skills:
Prior experience with PVC/PEX piping, pumps, filtration systems, or general plumbing is highly preferred but not required
Travel Flexibility:
Willingness to travel throughout the state of Texas and occasionally out-of-state for projects. Most work is local.
Physical Capability:
Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including trenching, lifting materials, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Driving Record:
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean record and have proven experience safely hauling trailers.
Problem-Solving:
Strong troubleshooting skills to independently resolve unexpected on-site installation and mechanical issues.
Reliability:
Must have dependable personal transportation to reach the shop base or dispatch locations.
Tax Status:
Understands and accepts that this is a 1099 subcontractor position. [3, 4]
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
