Job Description

We are seeking a skilled person to be our shop manager in our spacious, clean shop. To receive, repair and maintain excavator sized equipment for our small, family owned specialty equipment business. Candidate will be responsible for organizing themself and up to two other employees for receiving equipment, overseeing the cleaning of equipment prior to commencing repair and inspection maintenance. Candidate will assure shop safety procedures and daily house-keeping of workspace plus overall clean and organize general shop. Candidate's main responsibility will oversee and assist inspection and repair of all equipment components. Troubleshoot and replacement of any inferior parts , such as, hydraulic pumps, coolant hoses or wiring harnesses and certify completion of repair. Certify completion of repairs and overall maintenance and inspection service. Candidate is also responsible for administering parts which includes organizing parts inventory and maintaining sufficient spare parts levels. Knowledge of diesel powered hydraulic systems with ability to read and understand hydraulic/electrical schematics and equipment/parts manuals. Attention to detail is a must. Candidate must have the physical ability to access various areas of the equipment. Valid Driver's license is required. Welding and fabricating skills are an advantage. Extra Pay if candidate has service truck and tools.
