Texstar Equipment Position Summary Texstar Equipment is seeking an experienced, motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment while delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service. Experience with hydraulic systems, diesel engines, electrical diagnostics, and modern construction equipment is preferred. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues on heavy equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service. Repair diesel engines, drivetrains, hydraulic systems, undercarriages, and electrical components. Troubleshoot using manufacturer diagnostic software and service manuals. Complete inspections and accurately document repairs. Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Operate equipment safely and follow all company safety procedures. Communicate repair recommendations with the Service Manager and customers when necessary. Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs. Equipment Experience Preferred Excavators Wheel Loaders Dozers Compact Track Loaders Skid Steers Articulated Dump Trucks Telehandlers Rollers and Compaction Equipment Aerial Lifts Generators (preferred but not required) Qualifications 3+ years of heavy equipment repair experience preferred. Strong understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems. Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Valid driver's license. Ability to lift 75+ pounds. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Positive attitude with a team-first mentality.
