Work Onsite Full Time Schedule Full Time Job Type Regular Duration Permanent Employment Shift Day Shift Help for . Performs repair/maintenance and inspection related work for fleet vehicles and equipment in the Fleet Operations Division Shop or a District Maintenance Section. Work may require maintenance and repair of heavy equipment used in construction of highways/bridges and inspecting work performed by contracted vendors. Work may require contact with other governmental agencies and private contractors. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments, however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Essential Duties:
Travels and performs work in other shops throughout the state as required. Completes repair order paperwork and accurately enters data into fleet information management systemOrders, picks up and delivers parts, materials, tools, and operates equipment and vehicles to include heavy equipment.

Performs quality assurance/analysis on repaired vehicles and equipment.

Prepares vehicles for use by checking for required safety features such as first aid kits, fire extinguishers and mobileradios.

Troubleshoots, tests and repairs electrical systems, electronic ignitions and fuel injection systems.

Uses computerized diagnostic analyzer systems and performs complex diagnostic work on vehiclesPerforms other job responsibilities as assigned.
