Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical ability and hands on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, propane engines, and electrical diagnostics. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts and related equipment Perform routine and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime Repair and maintain diesel and propane engines Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, and hoses Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs on wiring, batteries, and control systems Replace or repair worn and defective parts such as brakes, engines, and components Test equipment after repairs to ensure safe and proper operation Maintain accurate service records and work orders Follow all safety standards and company procedures Qualifications / Requirements Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Experience working with: Diesel engines Hydraulic systems Propane (LP) engines Electrical systems and diagnostics Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics Experience with preventative maintenance and repair of heavy equipment Ability to use diagnostic tools and hand tools High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
