About the Role As a Field Service Technician (also known as Mobile Mechanic, Equipment Specialist), you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational integrity of our power, pump, and HVAC fleet. You will leverage modern diagnostic technology to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and deliver exceptional service to our clients both in the shop and on-site. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure peak equipment performance. Execute preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifecycle of critical power and climate control assets. Utilize digital platforms to manage work orders, track service intervals, and document technical findings accurately. Collaborate with team members to install and configure equipment at diverse customer job sites. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure all repairs adhere to strict safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a secure work environment. Manage parts procurement and inventory logistics to facilitate efficient repair turnarounds. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience performing maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, power generators, or commercial HVAC systems. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret complex technical schematics and wiring diagrams. Proficiency in using diagnostic software and mobile technology for service documentation. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in various field conditions. Preferred Skills EPA 608 certification or the ability to obtain it within the first year. Trade school certification or formal mechanical training. Prior experience in a field service or mobile repair environment. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices.
