About the Role LDR Home Services is expanding our network of reliable, skilled independent contractors for local home‑service jobs throughout Newport News and surrounding areas. This is 1099 contractor work — you choose your jobs, set your own schedule, and work independently. Jobs are offered through our contractor app. When a job becomes available, you simply accept the ones you want. No quotas, no minimums, no pressure. Types of Work Furniture assembly TV mounting Small handyman tasks Smart‑home device installs Outdoor builds (gazebos, sheds, playsets) Minor electrical & plumbing General home services Requirements Must have your own tools Must have reliable transportation Must be professional and dependable Must be comfortable using a mobile app Must submit job photos through the app Must be able to work independently Must work as a 1099 contractor (you handle your own taxes) Must complete a background check •Pay Structure (Read Carefully)• This is per‑job contractor work, not hourly employment. Each job has its own payout amount based on the type of work, complexity, and time required. Because payouts vary by job, daily earnings are not fixed.
