: Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Field Technician to work on-site at a customer location in Virginia Beach, VA. Responsibilities
Perform on-site repairs, maintenance, and general service tasks using basic hand tools.
Conduct product demonstrations of basic mechanical equipment.
Provide maintenance support and training to in-house maintenance staff when necessary.
Offer technical guidance and expertise as applicable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School degree required; Associate degree in a technology field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, electronics) preferred.
Broad knowledge of mechanical hand tools and principles.
Understanding of PC applications, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to use iPads for completing work orders, sending/receiving emails, and attending team calls.
Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
Ability to understand technical diagrams and manuals.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal direction.
Adaptable to change and tight deadlines.
Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
Good customer service and organizational skills.
Ability to reason, communicate, make cognitive decisions, and meet deadlines.
Flexibility to work extended hours during the workweek and availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., carrying and lifting tools and parts weighing up to 20 lbs.
Must be able to bend, squat, walk, stand, and/or sit for prolonged periods and carry 50 lbs.
May be required to push and pull a cart with equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
Schedule
Flexibility to work extended hours during the workweek and availability to work weekends and holidays on an as-needed basis.
Additional Information
Company tools will be provided.
Candidates should have protective footwear (boots required; steel toe recommended but not required) and gloves.
Safety goggles and earplugs will be provided on-site.
