$35.00-$50.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-4:00 PM Paid overtime Paid lunch
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance (PM) services, diagnose and repair heavy equipment, and manage shop operations and equipment. The role includes service truck work and on-site repairs as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine PM inspections and services on heavy machinery and fleet Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair engines, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other heavy equipment components Provide field service using company-provided service truck Manage shop workflow, tools, inventory, and equipment maintenance Maintain accurate service, repair, and parts records Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations Assist with training junior technicians as needed Communicate with operations and management regarding repairs, parts needs, and timelines
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certificate preferred 3+ years' experience repairing heavy equipment (construction, agricultural, mining, or similar) Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently in the shop and in the field Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required Ability to lift and move heavy parts and work in varied weather conditions Strong organizational and communication skills
