ASSISTANT YARD/SHOP AND FIELD MECHANIC

Job Summary:

The Assistant Yard/Shop Mechanic will provide duties when needed in our yard along with light maintenance

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintains vehicles, trailers and organizing the yard.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
• Identifies mechanical problems visually.
• Examines critical parts and systems using a standard checklist.
• Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, and other mechanical parts.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Loading and unloading trailers.
• Loads and unloads material when needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read service and repair manuals.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Driver's license is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area.

Pay:

$18.00 - $30.00 per hour
