Job Description

Position Summary This hourly, non-exempt position reports to the Forklift Repair/Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all mobile equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, experience with powered industrial trucks, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and other mobile equipment Review and complete work orders in SAP, including documentation and closeout Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) based on daily checklists Install and fabricate safety devices on equipment Press tires onto wheel assemblies Conduct annual safety inspections Operate equipment such as forklifts, loaders, lifts, and other heavy equipment Maintain organization and cleanliness of work area (5S standards) Monitor repair progress and communicate updates between shifts and leadership Identify and communicate required parts and repairs to supervisor Track and manage spare parts inventory Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Mechanical aptitude required; prior forklift or mobile equipment repair experience preferred Experience with Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment required Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a physical environment Comfortable operating heavy equipment and working in a manufacturing setting
Pay:
$28.82 - $36.58 per hour
