Position Summary As an Agricultural & Turf Service Technician, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, maintain, and prepare a full range of John Deere equipment. This includes agricultural tractors, combines, sprayers, planters, compact utility tractors, skid steers, utility vehicles, lawn and garden equipment, and other turf and utility equipment. Qualifications Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel, gasoline, and electronic systems. Associate degree in Diesel Technology, Agricultural Equipment Technology, Power Equipment Technology, or a related field preferred. Previous experience repairing agricultural, turf, lawn and garden, diesel, construction, automotive, or outdoor power equipment. Farm, landscaping, golf course, or turf equipment experience is a plus. Experience using computerized diagnostic software and service information is preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Must provide your own basic hand tools. Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment. Responsibilities Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a full line of John Deere agricultural, compact construction, and turf equipment. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, powertrains, steering, braking, and precision technology systems. Complete equipment setup and pre-delivery inspections. Use John Deere diagnostic software to identify equipment issues and perform efficient, accurate repairs. Perform warranty repairs in accordance with John Deere service guidelines. Complete work orders accurately and document repairs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with service advisors, parts personnel, and customers regarding equipment status and repair recommendations. Tractor Central is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
