Des Moines, Iowa- Position Overview This role involves assembling, installing, and relocating commercial office furniture and specialty items according to project standards and client requirements. The technician ensures high‑quality workmanship, safe material handling, and clear communication with project leadership while maintaining clean and organized work areas.
- Key Responsibilities Assemble and install commercial furniture including desks, chairs, cabinets, panels, and modular systems Load and unload trucks using proper padding and securement methods Install specialty items such as artwork, window coverings, and fixtures Support relocation activities by moving boxes, filing cabinets, and furniture components Perform quality checks to ensure all items meet specifications and are defect‑free Communicate with project leads to coordinate tasks and provide updates Disassemble and relocate furniture as needed Operate hand tools for assembly, adjustments, and field repairs•Skills Commercial furniture assembly experience (desks, panels, chairs, cabinets, modular systems) Skilled in installation, relocation, loading/unloading, and securing furniture Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time to support multiple markets Proficient with hand tools for assembly, disassembly, and field modifications•Qualifications Clean driving record Positive, customer‑focused attitude Team‑oriented mindset with strong attention to detail Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the day•Why This Role Appeals Locally operated organization with a strong, experienced team Supportive, family‑oriented culture emphasizing integrity, fairness, and professionalism Per diem, travel reimbursement, and expense coverage provided Opportunities to work across multiple markets and gain diverse installation experience•Work Environment First‑shift schedule: 7:00 a.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00
