Responsibilities Diagnose appliance issues using schematics, electrical testing, and mechanical assessments to identify root causes quickly and accurately. Repair and troubleshoot appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, and HVAC systems with precision and attention to detail. Install new appliances following manufacturer specifications, including electrical connections, plumbing, and mechanical setup. Use hand tools, power tools, ladder use, and equipment troubleshooting techniques to perform repairs efficiently on-site or in customer homes. Conduct maintenance inspections and perform equipment repair to prevent future malfunctions and extend appliance lifespan. Communicate clearly with customers about repair processes, timelines, and maintenance tips to ensure excellent customer service experiences. Operate company vehicles safely for field service visits and delivery of repaired appliances or new installations. Requirements Proven experience as an appliance repair technician or in a related field such as service technician experience or HVAC. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics and ladder use is highly desirable. Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, electrical work, and assembly of appliances is essential. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment necessary for appliance repair tasks. Valid driver's license with experience operating a box truck or company vehicle; delivery driver experience is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy appliances safely, and work in various environments.
