Job Description
Experienced Appliance Repair Technician (1099 Independent Contractor) Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens & New York City High Earning Potential | Flexible Schedule | Consistent Work Appliance Factory Service has been a trusted, Authorized appliance repair company for over 35 years. We are seeking experienced Independent Contractor Appliance Repair Technicians (1099) needed to provide in-home appliance repair services throughout Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens and New York City. This is not a W-2 employee position. We are looking to partner with experienced professionals who already operate their own appliance repair business. Minimum Requirements To be considered, you must : Operate as an independent contractor with your own LLC, Corporation, or registered business. Carry your own General Liability Insurance (proof required). Own a reliable work vehicle. Own your own professional appliance repair tools and diagnostic equipment. Have extensive experience diagnosing and repairing residential appliances. Have excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills. Hold a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sealed System experience and EPA Certification are highly preferred but not required. Required Experience Applicants must have strong experience diagnosing and repairing: Refrigerators Freezers Washers Dryers Gas & Electric Ranges Ovens Dishwashers Microwaves Ice Makers Other residential appliances Technicians should be able to diagnose and complete repairs independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair appliances in customers' homes. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation. Provide customers with accurate repair recommendations and estimates. Complete work orders electronically. Deliver professional, courteous customer service. Maintain your own vehicle, tools, and inventory. Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding appointments and parts. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of residential appliance repair experience. Sealed System repair experience. EPA Universal Certification. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience servicing major appliance brands. Factory training is a plus.
