  • Full-time McIntosh Communications is an established and diverse wireless communications company, providing powerful communication solutions to businesses, public safety and government throughout Southern Nevada and Northern Utah.
We have immediate openings at our Salt Lake City office for experienced RF technicians/installers who would be responsible for the installation, alignment, maintenance and troubleshooting of two-way radio, distributed antenna systems and microwave equipment. Military communications experience a plus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities would include : Experienced in coax cable installation, terminations and testing. Experience installing in-building antennas and passive components per iBwave design or Blueprints. Installation, testing and commission of Public Safety & Cellular Bi-Directional Amplifiers (BDAs), battery backup units and alarming modules. Perform Public Safety and/or Cellular coverage studies, isolation tests, cable & antenna line sweeps, and acceptance certifications for BDA/DAS projects. Document test results and generate associated system reports for system acceptance. Test and maintain commissioned Public Safety BDA's per code requirements. Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain VHF/UHF/800Mhz/900Mhz/Digital two way radio system. (Primarily Motorola Mototrbo Technology) Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain Point-To-Point and Point-To-Multipoint equipment. (Primarily Siklu, Cambium, Radwin and Ceragon) Install, program and maintain IP consoles. (AVTEC, MCC) Prepare, complete and maintain appropriate job tickets, warranty forms and reports in an accurate and timely manner. Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skill Sets, Experience, etc.): Have the ability to read and understand iBwave designs, blueprints other technical diagrams. Experience with operating Anritsu or similar Spectrum Analyzers. Proficient in the use of a communications analyzer, electrical circuit troubleshooting and operation of test equipment. 2+ years related experience with RF Theory, Radio and/or Microwave communications equipment. Knowledge of Motorola Trunked Radio Systems is a plus. Knowledge of Fiber Optic technology is a plus. Experience with Motorola communication equipment and Public Safety markets is a plus. R56 Installation Practices. Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevated heights and on roof tops. Certifications CET certification and/or FCC license is a plus. Electronics/Applied Electronics background desires. Tower certification is a plus. OSHA 10
