Greater Huntsville, AL Area (Training conducted onsite initially. Long term flexibility for hybrid options)

We're partnering with a highly respected commercial construction specialty contractor that plays a critical role in some of the country's most important facilities, including healthcare campuses, mission-critical infrastructure, medical facilities, and large-scale commercial projects. If you're mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, enjoy solving problems, and want a clear path into estimating, project management, or construction leadership, you'll be surrounded by people invested in helping you succeed. What You'll Do As a Junior Estimator, you'll help transform construction drawings and specifications into accurate project estimates while learning the commercial bidding process from experienced professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
Review construction drawings, plans, and bid documents Perform quantity takeoffs and scaling from project plans Learn how mechanical systems are installed and coordinated Assist with estimating commercial construction projects Analyze specifications and engineering documents Support bid preparation and proposal development Work with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather pricing information Follow up on customer questions and project clarifications Participate in team meetings and project discussions Learn bid leveling, project scoping, and document interpretation Develop expertise in commercial mechanical systems and specialty construction applications Collaborate closely with estimators, project managers, and operations leadership
Compensation & Perks:
Competitive Compensation $22

Required Qualifications 1+ year of experience in one or more of the following: HVAC Plumbing Mechanical Construction Commercial Construction Sheet Metal Firestop / Penetration Firestop Specialty Construction Trades Construction Coordination Estimating Support Military Engineering, Construction, Mechanical, or Technical Experience OR Strong mechanical aptitude with construction or trades exposure and a desire to learn estimating No degree required.
