The HVAC Mechanic II performs skilled work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all types of refrigeration, cooling and heating equipment, and refrigeration, cooling, ventilating, and heating equipment within assigned area. Acts as lead worker. Trains and supervises entry-level Mechanics. Interprets plans and blueprints. Drives from site to site.Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of HVAC experience. EPA Section 608 HVAC Universal Certification. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:
Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to lift, handle and maneuver the tools, materials and supplies of the job. Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot blueprints, drawings, manuals, maps, schematics, and plans. Ability to do material takeoffs. Good people skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Good written and verbal communications skills. groundInvestigation Statement:
