In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal indoor comfort and energy efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity for technicians with a passion for mechanical systems, refrigeration, and property maintenance to make a tangible impact on building operations. Your expertise will help keep facilities running smoothly while providing exceptional service to clients and property owners. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan. Conduct field service visits to residential, commercial, or industrial properties to address HVAC/R issues promptly. Repair plumbing components related to HVAC systems such as condensate drains or refrigerant lines. Use specialized tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose electrical problems or perform component repairs. Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for compliance and future reference. Assist with appliance repair, property maintenance tasks, and other mechanical duties as needed. Operate vehicles safely as a driver when transporting equipment or parts between sites. Handle ammonia refrigeration systems with proper safety procedures when required. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans. Experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC units and general property maintenance skills. Field service experience working directly with clients in residential or commercial settings. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Skilled in equipment repair including welding and boiler maintenance when necessary. Familiarity with HVAC/R standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
