If you're looking for a place where you're just another truck number, this probably isn't the company for you. At Autumn Air Heating & Cooling, we're a family-owned business that's been serving the Valley for over 20 years. We believe in taking care of our customers the right way, standing behind our work, and treating our employees like people—not production numbers. We work hard, we hold each other accountable, we laugh a lot, and we genuinely enjoy what we do. Our team is close-knit, and everyone is expected to pull their weight because every person here matters. We're looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and wants to be part of a company that actually invests in them. If you're the type of technician who likes figuring out the "why" instead of just replacing parts, you'll fit in well here. What Makes Autumn Air Different? We know every company says they're "like family." We actually mean it. When you join our team, you're joining a group of people who look out for each other. We celebrate wins together, help each other on difficult jobs, and always have someone willing to answer the phone if you need help. We also do a lot that other companies don't: We prioritize fixing systems correctly—not just selling replacements. We give our technicians the time and support they need to properly diagnose issues. We believe in continuing education and manufacturer training. We invest in quality equipment, tools, and technology. We have an outstanding reputation that we've spent decades building. We encourage our technicians to grow into leadership roles. We truly stand behind our work and our warranties. This is a place where your opinion matters and your work is appreciated. What You'll Be Doing Every day is different.
You will:
Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems. Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal tune-ups. Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and mechanical issues. Replace components including compressors, motors, capacitors, contactors, TXVs, fan motors, blower assemblies, thermostats, and more. Install and configure thermostats and HVAC accessories. Perform startup procedures and verify proper system operation. Educate homeowners on repair options and system performance. Document work thoroughly using our software. Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle. Represent Autumn Air professionally inside our customers' homes. What We're Looking For Experience is required. HVAC schooling or trade school is absolutely valuable, but hands-on field experience is strongly preferred. We're looking for someone who has actually worked on equipment and understands what real-world service looks like.
Ideal candidates have:
Residential HVAC service experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Electrical troubleshooting experience Refrigeration knowledge EPA Certification Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong communication and customer service skills The ability to work independently while still being a team player Pride in doing quality work—not taking shortcuts Bonus points if you have experience with: Inverter equipment Heat pumps Gas furnaces Mini-splits IAQ products Smart thermostats Building automation Commercial systems The Kind of Technician We're Looking For We're not necessarily looking for the person who's been doing HVAC for 30 years. We're looking for someone who: Shows up. Wants to learn. Takes ownership. Treats customers with respect. Doesn't make excuses. Has a positive attitude. Works well with others. Wants to build a career, not just collect a paycheck. Skill can be taught. Work ethic and character cannot.
Why You'll Love Working Here:
Performance pay Year-round work Ongoing technical training Growth opportunities Family-oriented culture Supportive management Modern technology and tools A team that genuinely has each other's backs Ready to Join the Team? If you're tired of being treated like a number and you're looking for a company where your work actually matters, we'd love to meet you. Whether you're an experienced technician looking for a better culture or someone who has completed HVAC schooling and is ready to prove yourself in the field, we encourage you to apply.
