Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems across various properties. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure optimal indoor climate control. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and installing HVAC equipment while adhering to safety standards and industry best practices. Your proactive approach will help us maintain high standards of property maintenance and customer satisfaction. Duties Conduct comprehensive inspections of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ventilation equipment. Diagnose mechanical problems using schematics, technical manuals, and testing tools such as ohmmeters. Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent system failures, including filter replacements, refrigerant recharges, and cleaning of components. Repair or replace faulty parts such as compressors, motors, valves, and electrical wiring with precision. Install new HVAC equipment following detailed schematics and design specifications for commercial or residential properties. Utilize welding techniques and plumbing skills to modify or repair ductwork, piping, or refrigeration lines as needed. Maintain accurate service records, complete detailed reports on work performed, and ensure all tasks comply with safety regulations. Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport tools and equipment to various job sites. Troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration systems and other specialized HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) units in accordance with industry standards. Collaborate with property managers or clients to schedule maintenance visits and provide expert advice on system upgrades or improvements. Experience Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a strong mechanical background. Hands-on experience with construction projects involving HVAC installation or repair is highly desirable. Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design principles to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to heating and cooling units; experience with appliance repair is a plus. Experience working with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge encompassing boiler operation, equipment repair, welding techniques, and general property maintenance. Field service experience working directly at customer sites or property locations is essential for success in this role. Ability to operate testing instruments such as ohmmeters confidently while troubleshooting electrical components within HVAC systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating specialized vehicles for equipment transport is preferred.
