Job Description

Scottsdale Air Heating & Cooling is seeking an HVAC Install Technician to join our customer-first team in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. In this role, you'll install and start up residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems, ductwork, and indoor air quality equipment with a focus on quality, safety, and integrity. You'll interact directly with homeowners, explain system operation, and ensure clean, professional job sites. Responsibilities Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems including condensers, air handlers, furnaces, and heat pumps Measure, cut, and connect refrigerant lines, ductwork, drains, and electrical components per code and manufacturer specs Start up, test, and commission equipment, verifying proper airflow, refrigerant charge, and system performance Diagnose and correct basic installation issues and communicate needed repairs or changes to the lead or supervisor Explain new system operation, thermostat use, and basic maintenance to customers in a professional manner Complete work orders, documentation, and photos accurately using company processes and mobile tools Maintain a clean, safe jobsite and company vehicle, following all safety policies and OSHA requirements Work closely with installers, technicians, and office staff to meet schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction goals Required Skills HVAC equipment installation Residential HVAC systems Light commercial HVAC systems Ductwork installation and modification Brazing and soldering Refrigerant handling and charging Basic HVAC electrical and low-voltage wiring Use of HVAC diagnostic and hand tools Reading blueprints and HVAC schematics EPA Section 608 compliance knowledge
