- $30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Lifting equipment Spanish Customer communication EPA Interpretation English Driver's License Plumbing Refrigeration Hand tools Technical Proficiency Full Job Description We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician / Mechanic to join our growing Phoenix team.
Diagnose & Repair:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctions in various HVAC systems (including split systems, heat pumps, package units, and mini-splits)Maintenance:
Perform routine preventative maintenance, system tune-ups, and safety checks to ensure optimal efficiency during high-demand summer monthsCustomer Communication:
Explain technical issues, repair options, and pricing clearly to homeowners or business owners. Utilize bilingual skills to bridge language gaps and ensure absolute transparency with Spanish-speaking customersDocumentation & Technology:
Keep accurate digital records of parts used, work completed, and equipment conditions via our mobile dispatching applicationSafety & Standards:
Adhere to all local HVAC codes, safety regulations, and EPA guidelines regarding refrigerant handling
Rotational On-Call:
Participate in a seasonal evening/weekend on-call rotation to handle emergency breakdown requests.Qualifications & Requirements Required:
Experience & Competency:
1-2 years of hands-on field experience OR a strong technical foundation from an accredited trade school/apprenticeship coupled with an understanding that goes beyond basic textbook knowledge. Must demonstrate strong troubleshooting logic and a desire to grow.Certifications:
Must hold a valid EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (or be actively working toward it with a technical school background).Driver's License:
A valid Arizona Driver's License with a clean, insurable driving record.Physical Ability:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work comfortably in tight spaces (crawls/attics) and high temperatures.Background Check:
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.Tools:
Possession of basic hand tools and diagnostic meters typical of the trade. Preferred (A Plus)•Bilingual Proficiency:
Fully fluent in English and Spanish (must be able to confidently handle technical diagnostics and customer service in both languages).Plumbing Knowledge:
Semi-skilled plumbing experience (e.g., handling water heaters, condensate lines, water softeners, or basic leak repairs).
