Brief Summary:
In this role, you will perform routine HVAC installations, preventive maintenance, and standard service repairs while building your technical skills under the guidance of experienced technicians. You'll follow established service procedures, communicate professionally with customers, and escalate complex diagnostic issues when needed.
Essential Functions:
Perform routine HVAC equipment installations, preventive maintenance, and standard service repairs on residential heating and cooling systems. Diagnose and resolve common HVAC issues while following established troubleshooting procedures. Escalate complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, and unusual service situations to senior technicians or supervisors. Conduct system inspections and identify maintenance or repair needs. Complete service calls efficiently while adhering to company quality, safety, and customer service standards. Accurately document work performed, parts used, and service recommendations in the company's work order system. Maintain EPA 608 compliance and follow all applicable safety regulations and company policies. Communicate professionally with customers regarding completed work and basic system operation. Identify potential repair or replacement opportunities and refer them to the appropriate team member without preparing estimates or closing sales. Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory in a clean and organized condition. Participate in ongoing technical training to develop HVAC knowledge and service skills. Collaborate with dispatch, supervisors, and fellow technicians to ensure timely and effective customer service.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Required:
Minimum of 1-2 years of residential HVAC service, maintenance, or installation experience. EPA Section 608 Certification required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Working knowledge of residential HVAC systems, components, and equipment. Must be willing to travel Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments, including attics, crawl spaces, and confined spaces. Ability to work independently on routine assignments while following established procedures and receiving guidance as needed. Willingness to participate in ongoing technical and safety training. Ability to perform routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and standard HVAC repairs. Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration principles. Ability to make sound, independent judgments Capacity and desire to expand knowledge of software capabilities Take initiative to plan, organize, and complete assignments independently Initiate, maintain, and complete both short term and long-term projects simultaneously Able to work independently and work effectively as a member of a team Able to handle regular interruptions to serve the needs of others while maintaining focus on multiple priorities and short and long term deadlines Able to finish projects both quickly and accurately Able to proactively seek out ways to improve upon existing methodologies Maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with employees, maintaining a warm and professional manner with a positive employee relations and customer service mindset

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, climb, crawl, push, pull, reach, sit, stand, climb ladders, and work with various tools and equipment. Must not fear heights or steep roofs. Comfortable working 10-12hr days. Possess the ability to listen, understand, and communicate in writing and verbally. The employee will frequently be required to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
