In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of skilled technicians, oversee complex HVAC system installations, and ensure all work complies with safety standards and technical specifications. Your expertise will drive efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction on every project. Duties Lead and coordinate HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to schematics and design plans. Supervise and mentor a team of installers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment. Interpret HVAC schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise installations. Perform service technician tasks including troubleshooting, equipment repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems in commercial or residential settings. Install, test, and commission heating, ventilation, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and related mechanical equipment. Conduct field service inspections to diagnose issues with air conditioning units, plumbing connections, or refrigeration systems; perform necessary repairs or recommend solutions. Operate specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing; utilize welding techniques when required; maintain accurate documentation of work performed. Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations including proper handling of refrigerants and ammonia systems; maintain a clean and safe work environment. Manage property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems; coordinate with property managers for ongoing system upkeep. Drive company vehicles responsibly while transporting tools or equipment necessary for installation or service tasks. Skills Extensive construction experience with a focus on HVAC system installation and maintenance. Proven service technician experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, boiler operation, or property maintenance. Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, HVAC design principles, and mechanical systems. Solid knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications. Familiarity with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration processes. Mechanical knowledge encompassing equipment repair, welding techniques, and boiler operation. Field service expertise with the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC/R issues efficiently. Experience operating diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; skilled in equipment repair and maintenance procedures. Valid driver's license suitable for operating company vehicles safely; experience as a driver is preferred. Ability to read technical schematics accurately and apply HVAC/R standards effectively. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams through complex projects while maintaining high safety standards.
