Duties Lead the installation of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems with precision and efficiency. Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate system setup and configuration. Troubleshoot equipment issues using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; perform repairs on HVAC/R systems to restore optimal operation. Conduct comprehensive HVAC system maintenance, repairs, and upgrades while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards. Collaborate with clients to assess their needs, explain system functions, and provide outstanding customer service throughout the project lifecycle. Diagnose electrical systems within HVAC units; repair or replace faulty components to ensure reliable operation. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, schematics updates, and maintenance logs. Must be able to lift 75+pounds or more Skills 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience. Extensive construction experience combined with service technician expertise in HVAC systems. Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC design principles, plumbing connections, electrical systems, and refrigeration processes. Proficiency with hand tools and equipment troubleshooting devices such as ohmmeters; capable of repairing complex mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams accurately. Experience with HVAC system installation, repair, maintenance, and system optimization in various environments. Knowledge of EPA regulations related to refrigerants; valid EPA certification required, universal certification is a plus. Familiarity with electrical diagnostics for HVAC/R applications; understanding of electrical systems within mechanical setups.
