Job Description

Job Title:
HVAC Service Technician Work Hours:
Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM with 30 minute lunch plus evenings and weekends as workload requires. After hours on call as needed.
Reports to:
Owner Pay Scale:
$25- $55 per hour based on ability, attitude, performance, and experience. Eligible for performance bonuses

Generate additional revenue by offering solutions to improve the indoor health, safety, efficiency, and comfort. Required Qualifications & Essential Functions & Responsibilities Insurable by company insurance carrier Valid driver's license Willingness to invest time in training seminars and classes. Basic Safety knowledge of tools and surroundings. Safe use of ladders Understand how to use a tape measure Ability to use hand tools Cut & drill holes Ability to fill out a daily timecard accurately Be able to carry 100 pounds Possesses both written and verbal English language skills Enhanced customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively Mechanical aptitude Work from 28' extension ladder and 12' step ladder Ability to use an iPad Understand benefits of preventative maintenance Willingness to learn Experience in HVAC service Consistently contribute to company purpose and adhere to company operating principles Comply with
ALL SAFETY RULES
Acquire and maintain necessary hand tools and testing instruments Knowledge and ability to read wiring diagrams Complete service related forms and record keeping procedures Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment including completion of maintenance checklists in full Communicate with customers and collect C.O.D. on maintenance and demand service visits as directed Ability to work staggered schedule if required Provide all customers with new / renewal maintenance agreement program information Inform and educate customers about residential planned maintenance agreements Acquire and renew residential planned maintenance agreements Inform and educate customers on additional products or services available through company Inform customer of replacement options when beneficial On call status for emergency service as required Follow instructions from supervisor and/or customer service coordinator and carry out in timely manner Effectively communicate with Customer Service Coordinator to expedite repair of HVAC systems Operate company vehicle and tools safely and steward the company vehicle and tools well Knowledge and ability to layout and install low voltage wiring Effective use of diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques Knowledge of proper interpretations of testing devices Physical Demands & Work Environment Working in tight places, in attics and underfloor crawl spaces Ability to lift 100 pounds Ability to work comfortably and safely from a ladder Ability to manipulate objects with fingers Exposed to outdoor environment and extreme temperatures at times Occasional high levels of dust Working on-site at clients homes Long hours Resources On the job training occurs continually Occasional certification and training opportunities Transportation from our facility to the jobsite is provided iPad for communication, research and service related forms and record keeping Specialty tools Team leadership and knowledge Leadership This team member reports directly to the owner who will meet with, evaluate and guide for growth Meetings will be as frequent as necessary to effectively meet the desired results Company leadership will continually position team members for success even if that is no longer as an Evans Mechanical employee Team Member Benefits Fulfilling the desired results will make the HVAC Service Technician a valued member of the Evans Mechanical team and make them eligible for certain benefits (in addition to their hourly pay)
Paid Holidays:
6 paid Holidays after 90 days of employment
