$35.00-$45.00 per hour Position Overview We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join a growing residential and light commercial HVAC team. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and providing customers with dependable solutions. The HVAC Service Technician will perform diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and system start-ups while maintaining high standards for safety, workmanship, and customer service. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems Perform preventive maintenance on heating and air conditioning equipment Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, and refrigeration-related issues Identify system problems and recommend appropriate repair options Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, and related HVAC/R procedures Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment specifications, and technical documentation Use meters, gauges, and other diagnostic equipment to accurately identify system issues Perform system start-up, testing, and commissioning as required Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records of work performed Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly and professionally with customers Maintain compliance with applicable safety procedures, building codes, and industry standards Qualifications Minimum 3 years of HVAC field experience in service, repair, maintenance, or installation Strong preference for candidates with hands-on HVAC service and diagnostic experience Experience with residential and/or light commercial HVAC systems Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Working knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation EPA Type II or Universal Certification preferred Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to work independently in the field Strong communication and customer-service skills Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced HVAC professional who enjoys diagnosing and repairing equipment , takes pride in doing quality work, and can communicate effectively with customers.
