Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC and Refrigeration Technician to join our dynamic team (with minimum of 2 years experience). In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and safety compliance. Duties Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, building automation systems, and refrigeration equipment. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and electrical schematics to identify faults accurately. Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure efficient operation and extend equipment lifespan. Troubleshoot complex HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems and mechanical components to resolve issues promptly. Read and interpret technical schematics and HVAC design documents for installation or repair projects. Conduct electrical diagnostics on system controls, wiring, and electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs or installations performed. Assist with system upgrades or new installations by following safety protocols and industry standards. Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to perform equipment repairs efficiently on-site or in the workshop. Support customer service efforts by communicating clearly with clients about system status, maintenance needs, or repairs. Skills Proven experience in HVAC system repair and maintenance within commercial or industrial environments. Strong refrigeration knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot refrigeration units effectively. Construction experience is a plus for understanding building layouts and integrating HVAC systems seamlessly. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, HVAC design plans, and building automation system diagrams accurately. Mechanical knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC/R applications is desirable. Familiarity with electrical diagnostics including wiring inspections and troubleshooting electrical controls. Hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical testing equipment (such as ohmmeters), and mechanical repair tools. Knowledge of building safety standards (including EPA certification for refrigerants), and environmental regulations related to HVAC/R work. Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach when interacting with clients or team members. Valid van driver's license for transportation between job sites as needed.
