Job Description

Job Description This role is ideal for a seasoned commercial HVAC professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems and keeping high‑profile facilities operating at peak performance. This position supports a large corporate headquarters campus in Palo Alto, CA. You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of building mechanical systems, ensuring reliability, safety, and occupant comfort across the site. The role sits within a technical services group focused on preventive maintenance, system optimization, and responsive repairs for critical building infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Service, repair, install, and optimize HVAC and refrigeration systems, including electrical, steam, and chilled water components
  • Calibrate and maintain related controls, sensors, gauges, and instrumentation Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and in compliance with safety standards and local codes Troubleshoot system failures, determine root causes, and recommend or implement corrective actions and system enhancements
  • Use building automation systems to monitor, adjust, and manage building performance
  • Diagnose and repair self‑contained refrigeration equipment, including 4°C, ‑20°C, and ‑80°C units
  • Provide guidance and technical support to other technicians by sharing expertise and best practices
  • Influence team outcomes by collaborating across functions and supporting operational and project‑based initiatives

  • Experience diagnosing refrigerant gauges
  • Experience supporting commercial electrical and plumbing systems
  • Experience with CMMS and BMS
  • Active EPA Section 608 Universal certification
