Job Description
72 Degrees HVAC, Inc. is looking for an experienced and dependable HVAC Technician / Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on HVAC experience and be comfortable performing installation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting on a variety of HVAC systems. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works well independently and as part of a team, and can complete assigned work safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment and system issues. Perform equipment change-outs and new HVAC installations. Install and modify ductwork, refrigerant lines, condensate drain lines, ventilation, and related components. Perform system start-ups and verify proper equipment operation. Check refrigerant pressures, airflow, temperatures, electrical components, and overall system performance. Perform preventive maintenance and identify needed repairs or system concerns. Read and follow plans, specifications, manufacturer instructions, and job requirements. Properly recover, evacuate, charge, and test HVAC systems. Complete assigned jobs efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship. Communicate job progress, equipment issues, material needs, and additional work needed with supervisors and office staff. Maintain accurate service and job documentation. Keep company vehicles, tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Provide professional and respectful service when interacting with customers, contractors, builders, vendors, and other trades. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of HVAC experience required. Experience with HVAC installation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, refrigeration, airflow, and electrical troubleshooting. Ability to diagnose HVAC equipment and complete repairs with minimal supervision. Ability to properly use HVAC tools, meters, gauges, vacuum pumps, recovery equipment, and other trade equipment. Ability to read equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, installation instructions, and job plans. EPA Section 608 Certification preferred. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Ability to safely lift and move HVAC equipment, tools, and materials. Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, mechanical areas, and other jobsite conditions as required.
