U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Position Overview Teya Support Services is seeking an experienced Journeyman HVAC Mechanic to support facility operations and maintenance at the Air & Marine Operations Center (AMOC) in Riverside, California. AMOC is a 24/7/365 mission-critical facility supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection operations. The HVAC Mechanic is designated as Key Personnel under the contract and is responsible for maintaining HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and environmental controls that support critical operations. Essential Duties Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial HVAC systems. Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain: Chillers Air Handling Units (AHUs) Fan Coil Units (FCUs) Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units Split systems Boilers Pumps and associated mechanical equipment Monitor and operate the Building Automation System (BAS). Perform refrigerant recovery and charging in compliance with EPA regulations. Maintain maintenance records in the Advanced Maintenance Management System (AMMS). Coordinate with outside service vendors performing specialized maintenance. Respond to HVAC emergencies and participate in the on-call rotation. Assist with general facility maintenance activities as required. Follow OSHA safety standards and all CBP security requirements. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 7 years of commercial or institutional HVAC experience. High school diploma or
GED. EPA
Universal Section 608 Certification (required).
Strong knowledge of:
Commercial HVAC systems Chilled water systems Air handlers Boilers Building Automation Systems Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Valid California driver's license. Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in mechanical rooms and on rooftops. Preferred Qualifications
NATE, HVAC
Excellence, or equivalent industry certification. Factory training from Carrier, Trane, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Bard, or similar manufacturers. Experience in federal facilities, military installations, data centers, or other mission-critical environments. Work Schedule Monday through Friday Staggered shift between 5:00 AM and 3:00 PM Participation in after-hours emergency response and on-call rotation.
