Residential HVAC Technician Job Summary:
Proficient in trouble-shooting new and aged HVAC equipment. Performs maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. Installs new replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines. Has general knowledge of the field's commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures. Working with a high degree of honesty and integrity to promote a positive image. Excel in communication and follow through to properly complete task at hand and most importantly "Deliver Exceptional Customer Service". Reports to Service Manager and is a safety sensitive position
Job Duties:
Deliver exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction Establish a great rapport with the customer Properly trouble-shoot and diagnose problems with HVAC equipment Perform service repair on HVAC equipment Adept in identifying and converting service opportunities into sales of HVAC equipment and service agreements Perform warranty service repair Perform Precision Tune-Ups Set goals (daily, weekly, monthly & yearly) Complete required paperwork and assigned tasks effectively and efficiently On-Call rotation (weekends) Follow all standard operating procedures
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years HVAC Service, Maintenance and Repair experience EPA Certified High School diploma or equivalent
Key Competencies:
Confident and self-motivated Valid CA driver's license with an acceptable driving record as required by the company's insurance provide Ability to adapt to change Satisfactory driving record Excellent work ethic and professionalism Highly Dependable, punctual and efficient General refrigerant, electrical and air-flow trouble-shooting experience Professional appearance and demeanor Strong communication skills Excels at following all
Standard Operating Procedures Physical Requirements:
Able to work in extreme temperatures for extended periods of time Able to adapt to all environments including but not limited to confined spaces, roof tops, etc. Able to safely lift over 100 pounds Able to work extended hours, and weekend hours on ocassion Able to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl Able to work in a safety sensitive position
