Company Overview We're a growing HVAC company serving homeowners from Los Angeles to Oxnard with reliable heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services. Job Summary Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on residential HVAC systems including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, ductwork, WSHPs, Package Units, Split AC Systems, Boilers, VRF/VRV equipment (Mitsubishi, Daikin, Carrier, LG), and related components. Work independently or with a team to ensure customer comfort, safety, and system efficiency while following local codes. Key Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, repair, start-up, and service residential HVAC equipment such as compressors, motors, fans, coils, circuit boards, controls, chillers, and cooling towers. Conduct maintenance visits, test systems for efficiency, diagnose issues, recommend upgrades, and perform component/system replacements with the highest safety standards. Communicate clearly with customers, provide cost estimates, educate on system care, maintain clean work areas, and handle tools properly. Maintain accurate service logs, handle parts ordering, ensure compliance with EPA refrigerant standards, and manage heavy workloads including overtime or on-call. Safely use ladders, tools, and lifts; lift up to 50 pounds; push, pull, or carry heavy objects; work flexible hours including evenings/weekends. Required Qualifications Proficiency in a broad range of HVAC/R equipment, including WSHPs, Package Units, Split AC Systems, Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Building Controls, and VRF/VRV (Mitsubishi, Daikin, Carrier, LG). Superior ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace/install components (compressors, motors, fans, coils, circuit boards), and perform system replacements/start-ups safely. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, ability to legally work in the USA, and pass drug/background check. Willingness to handle heavy workloads, overtime, occasional on-call, and physically demanding tasks like lifting 50+ pounds. Required Experience/Education/Certification 3+ years as an HVAC Service Technician (residential focus preferred; commercial experience applicable), HVAC school graduate or equivalent field experience. Universal EPA Certification (required). Valid California driver's license (required); high school diploma or college preferred. Strong troubleshooting skills, customer service focus, ability to read blueprints/wiring diagrams, and reliable vehicle/tools.
