Job Description

Overview:
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is seeking an experienced and hardworking individual to join our Facilities Maintenance Team. This person will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing of heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems in a commercial/industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment. Inspect and test HVAC systems to ensure proper operation. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults. Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and wiring. Perform preventive maintenance and system tune-ups. Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, park policies, and building codes. Maintain service records and prepare reports on work performed. Communicate with different departments regarding system issues & repair status.
Qualifications:
Required Skills Knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical systems Ability to use diagnostic tools and hand/power tools Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Understanding of safety procedures and regulations Good customer service and communication skills Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environments Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Technical or vocational training in HVAC Valid driver's license Availability to work varied shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays required Duties and tasks may involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75lbs Ability to sit, stand, walk, duck, crawl, climb stairs and ladders, and work at heights with fall protection Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications specifically Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Will be required to work indoors and outdoors in extreme weather conditions including cold and heat Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate vehicles (including but not limited to forklifts, golf carts, cars, trucks) Must be able to work with chemicals and follow MSDS Preferred Qualifications HVAC certification or licensing EPA certification for handling refrigerants
