In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your mechanical expertise and field service experience will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge HVAC technology and contribute to property maintenance excellence. Duties Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems in various property settings. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and perform repairs. Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize operational efficiency and lifespan. Troubleshoot electrical components using tools such as ohmmeters and perform mechanical repairs involving welding or equipment replacement. Assist with HVAC design modifications or upgrades to improve system performance and energy savings. Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including refrigerant charging, ammonia refrigeration handling, and pipe fitting. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and communicate effectively with clients regarding system status and recommendations. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with a strong background in construction or property maintenance. Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and mechanical systems. Hands-on experience with appliance repair, boiler operation, welding techniques, and equipment repair is highly desirable. Familiarity with field service procedures for HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), including troubleshooting electrical circuits and mechanical components. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters confidently and safely. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving drivers preferred for site visits. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
